At the beginning of 2022, our Association NILAM rescued six desi cows (Zebus), two of them pregnant, destined for slaughter from a farm in the Ct. of Wallis. We found them a permanent home in an inspiring Farm Sanctuary in the Ct. of Solothurn, where they are treated with the kindness and regard they deserve. They are freely roaming and grazing over lush green pastures and enjoy a free stable.In Summer and Autumn 2022, a female and a male calf, respectively, were born in freedom. 

Our eight cows are provided with the best care through deep dedication and commitment. To cover the maintenance fee which is 250 CHF per month for one cow, we are seeking sponsorship.
